This course has been created in response to the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 virus which has led to a very large number of people seeking to receive and provide services online when possible to reduce chances of transmission. It is designed to tell you what to do in order to transfer your clients to an online setting for the duration of the crisis. It is not a replacement for a full training in online therapy for which we continue to recommend the Online Therapy Institute Certified Cyber Therapist programme which provides 80 hrs of specialist training and can be considered a qualification to practice online in itself. I have trained practitioners and organisations worldwide in online therapy for over fifteen years. I am co-editor and co-author of four textbooks on the subject, as well as numerous articles, chapters and journals. I am a Fellow of BACP and Past-President and Fellow of ISMHO. I am also Special Advisor on Online Coaching for the BACP Coaching Division, and a qualified Coach.
